Tested Shawl for Lisa – Crochet Garden

September 14, 2006 at 5:54 am (Adult Wearables)

This is a piece of work I tell you, it’s one of the LONGEST (time wise) projects I have done in many moons.  There is this lady who watched my daughter during the week when I first started going back to work.  She was so nice and kind and sweet to my daughter that I told myself that the next time Lisa designed something for an adult woman, no matter what it was, I was going to make it for this lady.  Well, it turned out to be this shawl.

I wanted to try a new yarn for me – TLC Cotton Plus – how pleasant it is to work with this yarn!  It doesn’t split, it just glides on the hook.  It’s a good thing too, because this shawl was a MONSTER!  The designer made it so that it could wrap around and tie over, so it’s VERY wide.  Anyhoo, the pattern is available here – it’s called the “Garden Trellis Shawl” and you can see even more pictures of all the testers here.

Ok, so I just checked PhotoBucket and they seem to be down right now.  I will come back and edit this post with a picture of the lady wearing it after awhile.  Sorry for the down time!

Sent This One to My Sister!!!

July 14, 2006 at 6:43 am (Adult Wearables)

I tested this for a different designer – she doesn’t have a website yet, but I will be sure to post it when she does. I am not one for shawls, or I would have kept this one for myself! LOL – My big sister says she loves it! Again, the picture is clickable to see it larger!

The yarn I used on this one is Red Heart Luster Sheen in white.

Just Sent a Package to My Sister…

May 9, 2006 at 4:08 pm (Adult Wearables, Children's Wearables)

…and in it she will find this:

That is the black and white stole I made for her STARTING last year but just finished it this past week. I sure hope she likes it!!!

Also in the package is the complete Baby Boy set I made for a girl that just had a baby. I think they turned out cute!!!

  Let’s see…what am I working on now?

1) I am in the process of testing another dress for my daughter from the same designer as the Little Maiden Sundress (the peach colored one). This time I am doing it in a deep green. I just started it last night.

2) 4th and final top for my grand niece, this is half way done.

3) I am involved with a CAL (Crochet-Along) that is dealing with scraps. I want to make a Scrap-ghan with all this leftover yarn.

Isn’t that enough???

I have more pictures that I will post later.
